Cooking questions, answered
Everything you need to get authentic results from our pastes and spices at home.
How spicy are your curry pastes?
Each paste is clearly labelled — Korma is mild, Tikka Masala is medium, and Vindaloo and Madras bring real heat. You can always soften the spice by adding cream, yoghurt or coconut milk.
Are your products suitable for vegetarians?
Many are. Our spice blends, most pastes, pappadams and chutneys are vegetarian-friendly, and several ready meals are 100% vegetarian. Always check the label on pack for the specific product.
Where can I buy Maharajah's Choice?
You’ll find us across Australia’s leading supermarkets and independent grocers. For your nearest stockist, contact your local sales representative or email sales@ostindo.com.au.
Can I use a paste and a spice blend together?
Absolutely. Start with a paste for the base, then finish with a pinch of Garam Masala or fresh whole spices to deepen the aroma — just like in a traditional Indian kitchen.
How long do products keep once opened?
Refrigerate opened pastes and chutneys and use within the time stated on pack. Whole and ground spices are best stored in a cool, dry place away from sunlight to preserve their aroma.
